Power surges are unpredictable and may have multiple causes like abrupt voltage changes on a circuit, faulty appliances, storms, or provide faults in the power provider. Any extra current is redirected to the floor through the earth wire. The explosion connection remains in a dormant state until a voltage that’s excessive in comparison to some quality one triggers it to direct additional current to the floor during the additional cable. This prevents excessive current from flowing to your home appliances hence protecting them from damage.
